Department for Transport Fee:
Number plate RA56 ALS would normally have been issued between September 2006 and February 2007 by Reading DVLA office. This format of registration is commonly referred to as current style number plates. It allows to determine where and when the registration mark has been originally issued. The first letter of the registration identifies a broad area within the UK. In this case 'R' is a mnemonic standing for Reading. The second letter is used to narrow it further to the specific DVLA office within the broad area. In this case the letter 'A' signifies the plate has been issued by Reading DVLA office. RA56 ALS registration can be placed on any car that has been registered for the first time in September 2006 or later.
Please Note! Registration marks cannot be purchased for the purpose of making a vehicle appear newer that it is. For example a vehicle registered with a current style 57 Plate cannot be assigned a registration mark that is newer than a 57 registration. Please see our section Vehicle Registration Year Guide for further details as each registration has an issue date. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that you adhere to these regulations before purchase. If you are in any doubt please call on 0800 9 20 20 20 our team of advisors are here to help.
